Access control is a great way of limiting when and who has access to a building or area.
Access control is used to grant access by pre-approved privileges of the system. Users access rights can also be restricted by time, only granting access during the hours assigned. Doors can also be set to unlock for set periods - ideal for a reception area during office hours.
With access control systems, users must present there credentials before they can be granted access. This can be done using a proximity card, fob, pin number or fingerprint.
Intercom systems can also be an effective means of access control and communication between an entrance and handset point. The system allows speech (optional video) each way with the function to open doors / gates.
